Half Term Activities to Do at Home
There are so many unique and memorable half term activities to do at home. Keeping family members of all ages entertained this coming half-term season is easy.
Find a new favourite dish
An all-time favourite for kids – cooking! It’s messy (sometimes), fun, and they learn as they go. Cooking is a great way to pass the time this half term; you can find new recipes you want to try and then get to work in the kitchen and enjoy the delicious meals you’ve prepared. A great all-round family activity.
Crafting
There are tonnes of great kid-friendly crafting activities around, including making tealight holders, coasters, picture frames, bowls, pots, the list goes on. Sure to keep the kids entertained, a few mornings spent crafting makes for a great half term activity for everyone involved.
Pick up a new hobby
There’s no better way to spend a half term than by picking up a new favourite hobby. If you’re looking for some new half term activities to try out, hobbies such as sewing, painting, drawing, or even trying out some upcycling are sure to keep you and the kids entertained on the colder days spent indoors.
The Best Outdoor Half Term Activities In London
Half term wouldn’t be half term without a bit of exploring, and luckily, Canary Wharf has a whole range of activities and attractions to visit to keep you entertained on your adventures.
For a mixture of learning and enjoyment, check out the Canary Wharf Children’s Art Trail where they can embark on a treasure-hunt style walk and find 12 different pieces of art around the Canary Wharf estate along the way.
For older kids, head out to Capital Karts for a fun-filled, adrenaline-fuelled day of go-karting – perfect for feeding the competitive spirit and tiring them out at the same time! Alternatively, enjoy the Ice Rink Canary Wharf in half term before it closes on 28th February – family tickets available from £53.95.
If you’re looking for something outdoors, but indoors, the Museum of London Docklands is a must-visit on your list of half term activities – there’s something for everyone and it’s a great way to keep the kids entertained for a few hours.
Of course, any half term activity day out needs to include pitstops along the way. Canary Wharf has a fantastic range of child-friendly places to eat and drink so you can be sure to find something that suits wherever you are.
