Elizabeth Line Arrives in Canary Wharf: Connection to London and beyond

The arrival of the Elizabeth line station in Canary Wharf has been eagerly awaited since the Crossrail project was first announced in 2007 and construction began in Canary Wharf in 2009. We’re excited to jump on the new line as soon as it opens to travellers – the opening date is due to be released by Transport for London in the coming weeks.

The new Elizabeth line, which is named in honour of Queen Elizabeth II, promises to transform life and travel in London and the South East by significantly improving transport links and accessibility. It’s also expected to cut journey times dramatically, as well as providing extra capacity with spacious new stations and walk through trains with interior designs from Wallace Sewell.

This new railway will provide a host of new journey options. At the same time, it will support economic regeneration, generating jobs and business opportunities and providing a boost to the British economy. It will connect to major London hubs and districts while expanding the capacity of the central London rail by 10%.
